Application of Intelligent Conductivity Sensors in Projects
2025-08-15
In modern water quality monitoring and industrial fluid control systems, conductivity is one of the most important water quality parameters, primarily used in water treatment, wastewater discharge supervision, and industrial process control. The conductivity (EC) sensor, designed for complex water environments and industrial applications, plays a crucial role in numerous engineering projects due to its precise measurement capabilities, strong anti-interference performance, and excellent system compatibility.
FST100-EC106 conductivity sensor features an RS485 communication interface, supports the standard Modbus/RTU protocol, and can be easily connected to industrial control computers, PLCs, DCS systems, data loggers, and other third-party devices. This high level of system compatibility allows it to be flexibly integrated into various industrial automation monitoring platforms, enabling remote collection and real-time analysis of conductivity data, thereby enhancing the intelligence of water treatment and liquid control systems.

In wastewater treatment projects, changes in conductivity can reflect dissolved salts, ion concentrations, and treatment efficiency. The FST100-EC106 offers multiple measurement ranges from 0-2000 μS/cm to 0-200 mS/cm, supports a resolution as high as 0.001, and achieves an accuracy of 1.5% FS, along with a temperature accuracy of ±0.3°C. Equipped with a built-in Pt1000 automatic temperature compensation function, the sensor can stably output accurate conductivity data in operating environments ranging from 0 to 50°C, effectively reducing the impact of ambient temperature on readings and ensuring the scientific reliability of monitoring results.

In cooling water circulation systems and production processes for beverages, food, and other industries, liquid purity and ion content directly affect equipment efficiency and product quality. The FST100-EC106 not only features a highly stable dual high-impedance differential amplifier with strong anti-interference capabilities and fast response times but also comes with an IP68-rated stainless steel housing, making it suitable for various humid, high-dust, and highly corrosive liquid monitoring environments. Whether installed in circulation tanks, vessels, or pipelines, the sensor can operate stably over the long term, providing continuous and reliable conductivity monitoring data for process control systems.

In environmental engineering and surface water online monitoring projects, sensors often need to operate for extended periods in unattended outdoor environments, placing higher demands on device reliability and power consumption. The FST100-EC106 features a submersible installation design, is equipped with a 3/4 NPT standard pipe thread for easy and secure installation, and supports deep underwater operation with its 5-meter waterproof cable. Additionally, its low power consumption of 0.2W makes it particularly suitable for integration with low-energy systems such as solar power, enabling widespread use in remote water source monitoring, agricultural drainage management, and river pollution monitoring.
