Smart Manhole Guardian Intelligent Manhole Cover Monitoring Terminal

The First Sensor Intelligent Manhole Cover Monitoring Terminal (abnormal movement detection + ultrasonic liquid level monitoring) is an innovative product launched for smart city construction. Installed beneath the manhole cover, the terminal provides dual monitoring functions. On one hand, it monitors abnormal status in real time; if the cover tilts, opens, or is removed, the system immediately reports an alert. On the other hand, its built-in ultrasonic liquid level sensor continuously monitors water levels inside the manhole, enabling prediction of drainage network conditions and early warning for flood prevention. Collected data are transmitted to the municipal management platform via NB-IoT and 2.4G wireless communication, allowing managers to track manhole cover and water level status anytime via PC or mobile APP, achieving intelligent, visualized, and efficient management.

The device also offers comprehensive management features. Each manhole can be registered with ID, GPS coordinates, and road ownership information. It reports real-time status such as normal, abnormal, low battery, dismantled, or opened. Once an alarm occurs, the system locates and highlights it immediately, pushing notifications to relevant personnel’s phones or emails for timely handling. The management platform supports work order assignment, on-site repair, alarm clearance, and data archiving, forming a closed-loop process. Inspectors can receive alerts, handle them on-site, and upload photos, enhancing transparency and traceability. Through maps and text views, managers can easily see location, status, and historical data of all manhole covers.

In terms of performance, the terminal is equally outstanding. It operates at 3.6V, with 1cm measurement accuracy and a monitoring range of 0–2.5 meters. With IP68 waterproof rating, it functions stably in -20℃ to +80℃ environments. Transmission power is 7dBm ±1dBm, and its 8000mAh high-capacity battery provides 3–5 years of service life, with static current lower than 15uA. Strong hardware ensures reliable operation even under complex urban conditions.
